The user in not been redirecting on the verification page and none message is showed on the page but the email is been sent and received and after I press on the activation link it show a message that the key is expired but I still be able to login

Please make sure you used the verification check shortcode under page content, otherwise, it will not work. please see the screenshot what i mean

I activated the plugin and create a page mydomain.com/account-verification/ where I inserted the shortcode user verification, once the user receive the email of verification and click on it he then goes on the page mentioned before, but instead of the message of successful activation it shows an error saying that the verification key is expired just in seconds, but if I check in my back-end the user appear as approved.
To solve the problem I changed the message of expire key with a message that say the activation is been successful and follow LOGIN link.
How could I solve this problem?
I really love your plugin and I'd like to keep it on my website
