When User Verification plugin is active, any attempt to register a user through the registration page fails with the error message that the user email domain is invalid.
When I deactivate the plugin, the registration page works and is able to register a user.

there is an option to block email domain for spammy user registration, you probably enabled this. if you don't want this just disable this.
