I installed wp 5.8, updated the plugin to the current latest version.

I encountered the following problem:

If in an explanation of the "Error messages" section I use a word that has the apostofro * '*, when saving it puts me \ before this symbol. If I save the plugin options several times, create a chain of \\\\\\\\\\\\\\ before the symbol

EXAMPLE: in the field -> Customize error messages. Invalid activation key

If I write: "The email was not verified correctly"

When I save the page you will see:
"The email was not verified correctly"

if I save other times:
"The \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ 'email not verified correctly"

And this appears to the customer.
Now I have solved it by removing the * '* from the text, but in the Italian language the apostrophe for this type of sentence is commonly used.
