Is it possible to update this post with newer versions of the default wordpress theme? ie 2019)? It's not clear exactly which code needs to need be change to get the grid to appear on the category archive pages.

Display post grid on archive page only available in pro version. if you have already bought pro version please let me know and send me a temporary admin access i can edit your theme code to implement it.
