My design requirement is as follows:

  1. Select US state from a drop down list (50 states in dropdown)
  2. Then filter on item type (red, green, blue, etc) within that state

How do I do a combination of filters? Not seeing this in the documentation.

Instead of taxonomies & terms, you can use custom filters, please watch this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8phxNKIRsU&list=PL2GPPfgLrfWxAZBQc10XCh5wzDSOfPrKB&index=14

Please note video was made in older version of Post Grid but custom filter option remain same, please do not confuse.

Yes I have watched that video, but it is using Product as post type and related attributes. I am using plain posts and need to be able to use Categories in the data logic.

Perhaps it will help to be more specific. I need my grid to be filterable using 2 diff filters:

Filter 1= US State. It is 50 categories (AL, MS, LA, KY… etc – all 50 states). I need this to be in a drop down. What is the logic I need to use for this one?

Filter 2= Type of item. It has 5 categories (technology, healthcare, etc…) I need this to be an inline filter. What is the logic I need to use for this one?
