Plugin: Post Grid by PickPlugins

Affected Version: 2.3.24

Last Known Working Version: 2.3.10

Description of Issues

  1. "No posts found" After Saving Existing Grids

    • Issue: Editing and saving an existing (older) Post Grid clears the output, resulting in a "No posts found" message on the frontend.

    • Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Open an existing Post Grid created in an earlier version (e.g., 2.3.10).

      2. Click Save.

      3. Preview or view the page on the frontend.

    • Expected Result: The grid continues to display the selected posts as configured.

    • Actual Result: The grid displays "No posts found" on the frontend. Query/selection settings appear to reset or break upon saving.

  2. Layout Editor UI Obstructed by Absolute URL Overlay

    • Issue: In the Layout & Post Editor, the URL/link element of the latest post is styled with position: absolute;, causing it to stretch across the viewport and block interaction with the editor UI.

    • Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Go to Post Grid > Layout Editor.

      2. Open any layout for editing.

    • Expected Result: Layout elements sit in their respective builder containers for drag-and-drop editing.

    • Actual Result: An overlay generated by the latest post URL covers the entire screen, preventing clicks or edits on any elements underneath.

Environment & Context

  • Rolling back to version 2.3.10 resolves both issues immediately.

  • Tested on: Clean WordPress installation with default themes to isolate plugin code.

Please let me know if you need temporary admin access or specific console/PHP error logs to help diagnose this.
