I have tried so many different way to fox this problem and none of them seem to be the issue. However, it appears that your plugin is causing this issue and I cannot figure out how to fox it. It had happened after your last update. I get the double featured image on the post grid page, which is my main page. I do not have the image in my post as everyone else recommends. I am not using any special code. Let me know if you can point me in the right direction.

I figured it out and my post layout was selected as empty and it was fixed when I selected an actual layout.
