I have the Post Grid plugin installed and it is working quite nicely. Thank you.
The one thing I can't seem to figure out is how to change the settings so when I click on a post in the grid it opens in the same window rather than opening a new window.

You will need to go layout editor to see the options, please follow the screenshots
If you don't see the link target option please remove existing element and add it again.
