Make Post Grid display accurate posts on archive pages

Hello,

I have been using this great plugin for many years, but after an update, Post Grid stopped working properly on the archive pages. Let us say that I have an archive page for the category "News" — it does not show the posts that are categorized as "News" — it shows all the most recent posts, no matter which archive page I am on. How can this be fixed?
