Blog posts showing up on Podcast page

Hello, I downloaded post-grid to fix the main layout of my podcast page. But now every time my boss uploads a blog post, it shows up on the podcasts page, I do understand these are both "posts" but what can I do so that the plugin is aware that one is different than the other. These posts are password protected and are only for members to see. the only solution I have found is excluding the post from the page with the post=id.
