Hi!
Last week I asked how I can remove the 'read more' from the excerpts in the post grid..
I tried the things you suggested but it didn't work (putting an empty space instead of a text) but it still shows if the word count is set higher than 40 words.

I am not sure which read more you want to remove? previously i checked i saw a read more text with the excerpt, i have told you that read more text come from 3rd party source. please see old screenshot https://imgur.com/Yk3TWso

i can see you are still using older version, we have recently updated the plugin and changes admin layout. you can download and reinstall to see it from here https://pickplugins.com/my-account/downloads/
