Hi Darren,
Welcome to PickPlugins.

If special characters can be added to the database and used in a default post, then they should be usable in our accordion as well.

If the special characters can be displayed in the WordPress post content but do not work in our accordion content editor, then it's definitely an issue. Just let us know about the problem, and we'll fix it.
