Shortcode display

I have shortcodes in place in my post content and I want it to display the appropriate content in the post grid...except it just shows the shortcode in the grid instead of the rendered content.
Is there any way to display my appropriate shortcode content in the post grid??
For instance, I have a shortcode that automatically detect the birthday and age of a child and it works perfectly on the post page, but only shows the shortcode in the post grid.
