Post Grid – Comments

I am looking for a way of applying comments to a post grid layout that allows for the comments to be stylized and possibly hidden.  I need to show the title and the first image as the thumbnail - with the title below it.  What I would like to do is to implement some kind of an accordion style collapsible comments section beneath that can be scrolled.

The closest solution I can get to at the moment is something similar to the attached - making use of the free version.  Is there a way to do this - I am currently using the free version - however if necessary I am willing to upgrade the version if it would do this efficiently.
