When updating to latest version, it crashed our site and we got a critical error referencing post-gird-hook.php
"Fatal error: Cannot redeclare post_grid_search_keyword_field() (previously declared in *url*/ templates/post-grid-hook.php:79)
Have other customers experience this?
We were able to do a restore using jetpack backup service.
Is there an ETA on when it will be safe to install the newer version?

you can deactivate search add-on(which is free add-on we released on github) if this is not needed currently.
