Is SEO impacted negatively by hidden text?

I'm wondering if I have to worry about whether or not hidden text (handled by Accordian plugin) can be crawled, or if 'hidden' text could be a negative thing for SEO. For the company I work for we definitely want this hidden/shown text to be recognized as content. A good response / answer to this question would be much appreciated

Welcome to our forum.
you might worrying about the option "Hide on Frontend" under content header area. you may , this option completely removed(exclude) the section you selected and not hidden on forntend. so you don't have to worry about SEO impact.
