Hello! I cannot activate the Team Showcase pro plugin for WordPress, there are multiple problems. The first one is the following error, which happens upon plugin activation:

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function team_import_xml_layouts() in (...)/wp-content/plugins/team-pro/team-pro.php:64 Stack trace: #0 (...)/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(303): TeamPro->_activation('') #1 (...)/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(327): WP_Hook->apply_filters('', Array) #2 (...)/wp-includes/plugin.php(470): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #3 (...)/wp-admin/plugins.php(193): do_action('activate_team-p...') #4 {main} thrown in (...)/wp-content/plugins/team-pro/team-pro.php on line 64

I have searched for the team_import_xml_layouts() function on both the free and pro versions of the plugin, and it does not exist.

The other problem is, if we comment the line that creates the previous problem, the plugin gets activated, but there are no menu items as described on the readme.txt.

My website's WordPress version is 5.8, and the plugin version is 1.0.7. I also have currently the not-pro Team plugin installed and working normally on the website, with version 1.21.4.

Hi, Could you please ensure that you have activated the free version of our team plugin first? After that, try to install and activate the pro version. The pro version requires the free version to be activated.

Hello yet again! I would greatly appreciate if I would have any support to my previous reply, because we are in a tight schedule with this functionality, and so far any of the suggested fixes haven’t had any effect on our issue on activating the pro plugin.

Are you able to test with the versions I mentioned on the previous reply (WordPress/basic plugin/pro plugin)? Are there any incompatibilities using these versions together?

Hello again! Thank you for the reply. However, some issues regarding your answer:

– You mention the “dummy data” folder, but that does not exist on the plugin, only the “sample-data” folder, which does contain 2 team-layouts files (xml and json), however creates “invalid content type” errors when attempting to import;

– This doesn’t change the fact that the function team_import_xml_layouts() does not exist on both plugin folders (team and team-pro), which creates an error on activating the pro plugin. I was only able to activate the pro plugin because I commented the line 64 on team-pro.php;

– Even if I do that and manage to activate the plugin without importing the json files, all pro features are still deactivated.

– You mention the plugin is being rewritten and will be updated in the future, however we need this working ASAP. If the pro plugin works right now as is, are there any known compatibility problems regarding the versions I am using? As said before, these are my versions:

WordPress: 5.8
Team Pro: 1.0.7
Team: 1.21.4

HI, If you extract the ‘team pro’ zip folder, you will find a file named ‘tem-layouts’ located under the ‘dummy data’ folder. Please refer to the following screenshot for reference: https://imgur.com/NlxwbJY

To import this file, go to WP Tools and select the Import section. You can find another screenshot for guidance here: https://imgur.com/Fr6ICvJ

Hopefully this will resolve the issue and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. Our team is currently working on rewriting this plugin, and we hope to release the update within a week or two.
