Email verification – Paid Membership Pro – login, reCaptcha problems

I have a website with a forum and Paid Memberships Pro, and I've had a lot of problems getting the login to work, and a ton of bots joining despite the reCaptcha, and I was hoping email verification would work. I have the plugin active now, but haven't been able to make a new account with either of the login forms. If you click 'register' in the upper right it will take you to the primary form, and if you click almost any of the headings on the frontpage, a popup will display the other. frontierforever.org Any help would be much appreciated!
