Display the full path in the breadcrumbs

I'm using Breadcrumb - Pro Version 1.0.6 and I would like to display the fullpath of breadcrumbs onto a single product pages, so they can be followed back.

Example: https://new.daylilygarden.com/garden-plants/double-eyeful/
Shows:
Your are here: Home > Catalog > Purples > DOUBLE EYEFUL

I would it to show:
Your are here: Home > Catalog > Daylilies By Color > Purples > DOUBLE EYEFUL

It it possible?

If I were to modify the plugin to support this, would it be overwritten by the next upgrade?
