cannot change post title color since plugin update

hi
the plugin worked fine on my page https://www.italybikeadventures.net/giri/ where I need to display the post title and author in white color.
It used to work before the latest plugin update and now it loads the default theme heading color, even if I enforce it with the old layout editor with this CSS:
