Is there a way to filter the wishlists by wishlist author? For example, I want to show the wishlist that was created by a certain user.

Welcome to our forum. Unfortunately sorry to say, this feature is still not available, but there a filter hook for query wishlist arguments, you can override this. https://pickplugins.com/documentation/wishlist/filter-hooks/wishlist_archive_query_args/
